The Eagles barely squeaked by the pathetic Giants last week on Monday Night Football. Carson Wentz is still in one piece after nearly having his head taken off with a nasty forearm to the helmet after the whistle. The Redskins will be without running back Darius Guice for the remainder of the year. Adrian Peterson is nearly as good as Guice even at this stage in his career. The Redskins should be competitive in this matchup. However, FanDuel’s line of Eagles -4 is too juicy to pass up considering the Eagles have plenty on the line.
Pick: Eagles moneyline -205
Look for Washington to throw a bit more than usual due to the absence of Guice. If Jordan Howard returns for Philadelphia, the Eagles might lean on the run game. The Redskins defense has allowed the fewest yards in the entire league yet they are somewhat vulnerable against the run. Do not underestimate Adrian Peterson at this point in his career. Take a look at his footage against the Bills from earlier this season and you will agree he is still capable of rushing for 150+ in a single game. This game should barely surpass FanDuel’s expected aggregate point total of 40.
Pick: Over 40
The Redskins are playing at home with a young quarterback in Dwayne Haskins who has plenty to prove. Though Philadelphia needs this game badly, it will undoubtedly be a close matchup from wire to wire. Consider taking the winning margin of 1 to 6 as well as 7 to 12 for both teams. This way, as long as the game is decided by 12 points or less, you will win.
- Eagles winning margin 1 to 6 +350
- Redskins winning margin 1 to 6 +430
- Eagles winning margin 7 to 12 +500
- Redskins winning margin 7 to 12 +750
