If tonight’s baseball action is anything like last night’s Padres and Rockies game, fans are in for a treat. Some of the best pitchers in the game will throw this evening. It will be interesting to see if Yu Darvish can silence the Dodgers’ hot bats. The Reds and Rangers will square off in Cincinnati in what should be an entertaining affair. The Royals have a good shot at pulling off a massive upset in Minnesota. The Twins’ Jake Odorrizi has starred this year yet he just might prove fallible this evening. Here’s a closer look at tonight’s matchups and betting lines.
Texas Rangers at Cincinnati Reds (O/U 9)
Team | Moneyline Odds |
---|---|
Texas Rangers | +104 |
Cincinnati Reds | -118 |
Mike Minor, a 7-year veteran out of Vanderbilt, has some truly jaw-dropping numbers through the first three months of the season: a 2.52 ERA, a 1.18 WHIP and 93 Ks. Minor has not allowed more than four earned runs in his 10 starts this season. The Reds’ Tanner Roark has allowed four earned runs in each of his last two starts, making it through five innings and six innings in each contest. Unfortunately, Roark will face a loaded Rangers lineup in the home run-friendly Great American Ballpark. Sugarhouse has the Reds as slight favorites for a reason: Minor is due for a letdown and this game will be played in Cincinnati in front of a home crowd on a Saturday.
Pick: Reds Moneyline -118
Chicago Cubs at Los Angeles Dodgers (O/U 8)
Team | Moneyline Odds |
---|---|
Chicago Cubs | +180 |
Los Angeles Dodgers | -205 |
Baseball gamblers should be hesitant to wager on Yu Darvish simply because the righty has had a roller coaster 2019 campaign. The Dodgers’ Walker Buehler has impressed across his brief major league career. The Vanderbilt grad only made it through 5 and 2/3 innings against the Cubs the last time he faced Chicago. However, Buehler has allowed a total of one earned run in his last 15 innings pitched. Look for the Dodgers’ left-handed batters to rake against Darvish. The Cubs should be able to put up at least four runs.
Pick: Over 8
San Diego Padres at Colorado Rockies (O/U 11)
Team | Moneyline Odds |
---|---|
San Diego Padres | +145 |
Colorado Rockies | -167 |
The Padres and Rockies put on a show last night. The two will go at it again this evening at Coors Field. The bullpens are worn out, the bats are hot and this matchup will take place in front of a rowdy crowd on a Saturday night.
Pick: Over 11
Kansas City Royals at Minnesota Twins (O/U 9)
Team | Moneyline Odds |
---|---|
Kansas City Royals | +235 |
Minnesota Twins | -275 |
Sugarhouse has Jake Odorizzi as a massive favorite in this Saturday evening contest at home. Take a look at Odorizzi’s Cy Young-like numbers and you will understand why the house thinks the Twins will roll. The Royals will send Glenn Sparkman to the hill. Sparkman has solid numbers through 37.2 innings pitched in the 2019 campaign: a 3.58 ERA, a 1.30 WHIP and an opponents’ batting average of .267. This one should be closer than the Sugarhouse line-setters assume.
Pick: Royals run line +1.5 +120
