If you do not recognize the names of the pitchers set to throw this evening, you are not alone. The likes of Ariel Jurado, Reynaldo Lopez, Jakob Junis and Taylor Clarke are scheduled to pitch this Friday, June 21. Though there probably isn’t a Cy Young winner in-the-making among this group, there is certainly potential for baseball gamblers to profit.
Chicago White Sox at Texas Rangers (O/U 11.5)
Team | Moneyline Odds |
---|---|
Chicago White Sox | +133 |
Texas Rangers | -152 |
Reynaldo Lopez was lit up for five earned runs in his last outing, matchup with the Bronx Bombers. Lopez will face a talented Rangers lineup this evening in Arlington. Take a look at Sugarhouse’s line and it seems to make sense. The Rangers are favored as this is a Friday night affair at home. Here is a caveat every baseball gambler should be aware of: Rangers pitcher Ariel Jurado allowed seven earned runs and struck out zero batters in his last outing, an 11-3 loss against the Reds. However, Jurado was solid up until that meltdown against Cincinnati.
Pick: Rangers Moneyline -152
Cincinnati Reds at Milwaukee Brewers (O/U 8.5)
Team | Moneyline Odds |
---|---|
Cincinnati Reds | +116 |
Milwaukee Brewers | -132 |
Sonny Gray’s career is back on track. The righty from Vanderbilt has posted a 3.77 ERA, a 1.21 WHIP and 79 strikeouts across 71 innings. Unfortunately, Gray will toss against a powerful Brewers lineup at Miller Park. Chase Anderson is set to pitch for the Crew. Anderson only made it through four innings in his last start, allowing three earned runs and walking four against the Giants. Anderson has a a 4.05 ERA across 46.2 innings. The Reds’ lefties should be able to take Anderson deep a couple times. There is a good chance this matchup turns out to be a high-scoring contest on a raucous Friday night in Milwaukee.
Pick: Over 8.5
Minnesota Twins at Kansas City Royals (O/U 10)
Team | Moneyline Odds |
---|---|
Minnesota Twins | -159 |
Kansas City Royals | +140 |
The Royals have won four of five and just might salvage what was turning out to be a terrible 2019 campaign. Jakob Junis will pitch for Kansas City in a home contest against the struggling Twins. Minnesota has lost four of its last five contests. The fact that Junis made it through a mere 3.2 innings in his last matchup with the Twins does not bode well for his chances tonight. Martin Perez allowed four earned runs across 6.2 frames in his last outing against the Royals.
Pick: Over 10
San Francisco Giants at Arizona Diamondbacks (O/U 10)
Team | Moneyline Odds |
---|---|
San Francisco Giants | +120 |
Arizona Diamondbacks | -136 |
Sugarhouse has Taylor Clarke listed as a slight favorite this evening as the righty allowed a mere two earned runs across 6.1 innings the last time he faced the Giants. Clarke is not exactly dominant yet he will face one of the weaker lineups in baseball in this Friday night home contest. It appears as though Jeff Samardzija’s pitching career just might pan out. The former Notre Dame wide receiver has a sub-4 ERA and a solid 1.28 WHIP. Samardzija should keep the Diamondbacks’ right-handed power hitters in check.
Pick: Under 10
