Baseball fans have been treated to some spectacular action these past couple nights. The Yankees and Twins series was as entertaining as it gets. Hopefully tonight’s games will be just as enjoyable. Without further adieu, let’s take a quick look at what is likely to transpire on the diamonds this evening.
New York Yankees at Boston Red Sox O/U 11
|New York Yankees||-130|
|Boston Red Sox||+107|
The Yankees wowed the baseball community with their performance against the Twins the past couple nights. Tonight’s matchup with the Red Sox has the potential to be just as wild. The Yankees’ hot bats should be able to put up at least five runs against Rick Porcello. Look for the Bronx Bombers to roll this evening with their ace, Masahiro Tanaka, on the hill.
Pick: Yankees moneyline -130
Minnesota Twins at Chicago White Sox O/U 8.5
|Chicago White Sox||+125|
The Twins will segue form their series with the Yankees to a matchup with the White Sox. Unfortunately, things won’t get much easier for the Twins simply because Lucas Giolito will pitch for the Sox this evening. However, Twins pitcher Jose Berrios has allowed a total of four earned runs in his last two starts against the White Sox. As a result, Parx has the over/under for this matchup set at 8.5 runs. This one should go under.
Pick: Under 8.5
Baltimore Orioles at Los Angeles Angels O/U 10
|Los Angeles Angels||-235|
If you do not know who Jimmy Yacabonis and Jose Suarez are, you are not alone. These two pitchers are relatively unknown for good reason: each has an ERA hovering around 6 and a WHIP in the 1.6 range. Parx has the Angels as a massive -235 favorite mainly because it appears as though the Halos will finish out the season well above the .500 mark. The Angels should roll tonight.
Pick: Angels run line -1.5 -112
Texas Rangers at Oakland A’s O/U 9.5
It is hard to believe Brett Anderson is owned by merely 28% of Yahoo fantasy baseball players. Anderson returns from paternity leave to make his scheduled start this evening against the Rangers. Ariel Jurado has allowed five earned runs in each of his last two starts, making it through a grand total of 9 innings in those two games combined. This one could get ugly for Jurado.
Pick: A’s moneyline -182
