Most of the country will have clear skies for tonight’s baseball action. There are still some playoff seeds to be determined so there will be meaningful baseball played this evening. However, even the matchups between teams out of the playoff race present some fantastic gambling opportunities.

Miami Marlins at Philadelphia Phillies O/U 9

Team Moneyline
Miami Marlins +150
Philadelphia Phillies -174

The Marlins and Phillies are both eliminated from playoff contention yet there is still money to be made on these two squads. Marlins pitcher Caleb Smith is on pace to set career-bests for ERA and WHIP. However, Smith will face a loaded Phillies lineup this evening. Zach Eflin should be able to keep the Marlins to a couple runs. Eflin allowed two earned runs the last time he faced Miami. This should be an easy win for the Phillies.

Pick: Phillies moneyline -174

San Diego Padres at Arizona Diamondbacks O/U 9

Team Moneyline
San Diego Padres +146
Arizona Diamondbacks -168

Padres pitcher Garrett Richards has an 11.81 ERA. Richards allowed four earned runs in his last start against the Diamondbacks. Unfortunately, Richards will face the Diamondbacks once again this evening. Arizona’s Robbie Ray struggled the last time he faced San Diego, allowing four earned runs in 5.1 innings. This one should go over FanDuel’s run total of 9 with ease.

Pick: Over 9

Detroit Tigers at Chicago White Sox O/U 9

Team Moneyline
Detroit Tigers +135
Chicago White Sox -150

Tyler Alexander surrendered 10 hits and three earned runs across 4.1 frames the last time he faced the White Sox. Chicago pitcher Ivan Nova has the Tigers mastered. The gargantuan righty from the Dominican Republic allowed two earned runs against Detroit last Saturday. Nova should roll again tonight against a terrible Tigers lineup. Chicago’s righties should have no problem taking Alexander deep at least a couple times.

Pick: White Sox moneyline -150

Houston Astros at Los Angeles Angels

Baseball gamblers have to question whether Justin Verlander will pitch more than four or five innings as nothing is on the line in tonight’s game against the Angels. Angels pitcher Jose Suarez is just about as bad as it gets. Suarez is sporting a 7.34 ERA along with a 1.68 WHIP. Suarez is a lefty so he will be in trouble tonight against the Astros power right-handed bats.

Pick: Over and Astros moneyline
