If you are looking for some sports betting opportunities this weekend, the NFL slate is loaded with juicy matchups. In particular, the Sunday night and Monday night games are especially tempting. Below, we take a look at the best NFL bets of the week.
Carolina Panthers at Green Bay Packers -5 O/U 47
The Packers are listed as five point favorites in this home matchup with the Panthers. Green Bay disappointed gamblers last week against the Chargers. However, this is a home matchup on the frozen tundra at Lambeau Field. The Packers should win with ease.
Pick: Packers moneyline -240
Baltimore Ravens -10 at Cincinnati Bengals O/U 44
Sugarhouse has the Ravens as enormous favorites in this contest as Bengals starting quarterback Andy Dalton has been benched. North Carolina State alum Ryan Finley will be under center against the Ravens. Though Finley fared well in college, beating the Ravens in your first NFL start is a tall order. Making matters worse is the fact that AJ Green might not play due to a lingering foot injury. However, anyone who watched Finley in college knows he is more than capable of leading the Bengals to a 20+ point outing.
Pick: Over 44
Buffalo Bills at Cleveland Browns -3 O/U 40
The Browns started out as a two point favorite and the line moved to three. Running back Kareem Hunt returns to the field for this week’s matchup against the Bills. Buffalo has been solid all season long so this will be a close game. Look for both teams to get back on track offensively and exceed SugarHouse’s anticipated over/under of 40 points.
Pick: Over 40
Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears -2.5 O/U 42.5
The Lions have lost running back Kerryon Johnson to injury yet their offense is still humming along. The Bears are struggling to score points as Mitchell Trubisky has regressed following an impressive 2018 campaign. It is hard to bet against the Lions as they have some of the best wide receivers and in the game along with the always reliable Matt Stafford under center.
Pick: Over 42.5
New York Giants -2.5 at New York Jets O/U 43.5
The Giants were blown out in the second half of last week’s matchup with the Cowboys. The Jets are one of the worst teams in the league despite their talented roster. Le’Veon Bell is battling injuries, Sam Darnold is seeing ghosts and the Jets simply cannot be trusted. The Giants skill players should help this game reach 45+ points, sending it over SugarHouse’s anticipated point total.
Pick: Over 43.5
Miami Dolphins at Indianapolis Colts -10 O/U 44
Ryan Fitzpatrick is once again making his case for being a consistent starting quarterback in the NFL. However, SugarHouse has the Colts as double digit favorites in this matchup. Both teams have enough healthy players on offense to send this game over 44 points.
Pick: Over 44
Los Angeles Rams -3.5 at Pittsburgh Steelers O/U 44
The Rams are clearly the better of these two teams. However, this matchup will take place in Pittsburgh. Mason Rudolph has proven he is a reliable starting quarterback in the league so it is hard to bet heavy against the Steelers. However, Pittsburgh running back James Connor has been limited in practice. Though Rams wide receiver Brandin Cooks will not play this week, linebacker Clay Matthews will suit up.
Pick: Rams moneyline -195
Minnesota Vikings at Dallas Cowboys -3 (SNF) O/U 48
The Cowboys are back on track yet their star wide receiver Amari Cooper is hobbled. Even if Cooper plays, this will be a close game. The Vikings run-heavy attack should chew up clock, sending this game under SugarHouse’s expected point total.
Pick: Under 48
Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers (MNF) -6.5 O/U 46.5
The 49ers are undefeated yet there is an argument to be made the Seahawks are just as good as the boys from the Bay. Seattle’s defense no longer qualifies as the legion of doom yet they are still a formidable unit. Seattle should cover this spread and possibly even pull off the upset against the overrated 49ers.
Pick: Seahawks +6.5
