Week 11 brings us plenty of important matchups that will help determine division winners and wild card seeds. It is particularly interesting to note that most of this week’s matchups have point spreads in excess of three points. Without further adieu, let’s take a look at the best bets of the football week.
Dallas Cowboys -4.5 at Detroit Lions
SugarHouse has the reeling Cowboys as 4.5 point favorites partially because the Lions might be without quarterback Matt Stafford once again. However, SugarHouse has not yet set the over/under for this game, likely because of Stafford’s uncertain status. Even if Stafford plays, the Cowboys will probably prevail. Detroit’s offense is bound to be one-dimensional now that Kerryon Johnson is out for the season.
Pick: Cowboys moneyline -200
Buffalo Bills -6.5 at Miami Dolphins O/U 41
The Bills top draft pick, Ed Oliver, has been supplanted by Jordan Phillips. Josh Allen has regressed at the quarterback position. Miami is on the rebound, having won two of their last three games. Add in the fact that this is a home game for the fish and it becomes that much more difficult to place a wager on Buffalo. This game should go over the 41 points expected by SugarHouse as the Bills just might finally open up their offense under the Miami sun against a bad defense. A healthy Devin Singletary will also help push this game over. Bills fans have been calling for Singletary to get more carries so he should have ample opportunities to tote the rock against the Dolphins.
Pick: Over 41
Denver Broncos at Minnesota Vikings -10.5 O/U 40
The Vikings upset the Cowboys last week so they are hefty favorites against a Broncos offense led by Brandon Allen. Though Allen fared well against the Browns, he will have a much more difficult time against the Vikings defense. Look for Minnesota to burn up the clock with its unstoppable running game.
Pick: Under 40
New York Jets +1.5 at Washington Redskins O/U 38.5
The Jets are a slight dog against the Redskins even though Washington is inept in nearly every facet of the game. Dwayne Haskins is off to a slow start. Adrian Peterson is questionable to play. The Jets skill players are healthy so they could easily win this game.
Pick: Jets +1.5
Atlanta Falcons at Carolina Panthers -5.5 O/U 49
The Falcons are on the downswing and the Panthers are on the rise even without star quarterback Cam Newton. Matt Ryan is once again questionable with a bum ankle. It is awfully interesting that SugarHouse set the over/under at nearly 50 for this matchup even though both teams have questions on the offensive side of the ball.
Pick: Under 49
Arizona Cardinals at San Francisco 49ers -9.5 O/U 45
The 49ers are banged up on offense and defense yet they are nearly 10 point favorites in this home matchup. The Cardinals are finally showing some signs of life on offense even though David Johnson is dealing with injuries. Look for Andy Isabella and Christian Kirk to break this game wide open and possibly lead the Cardinals to an upset.
Pick: Cardinals moneyline +450
New England Patriots -3.5 at Philadelphia Eagles O/U 44.5
The Eagles are slight underdogs against the Patriots in this home game even though the Patriots are coming off their bye week. Philly seems to have finally found its groove yet this matchup with the Pats won’t be a cakewalk. Do not be deceived by the Eagles recent wins. The Bears and Bills are overrated squads. The Patriots should win this matchup by a touchdown or less.
Pick: Patriots moneyline -200
Chicago Bears at Los Angeles Rams -6.5 O/U 40
The Rams have imploded this season, partially due to a litany of injuries. Brandin Cooks might miss yet another outing due to a concussion. The Bears look a little better than they did to start the season yet beating the Rams on the road is easier said than done. Look for these struggling offenses to sleepwalk through yet another game.
Pick: Under 40
Kansas City Chiefs -4 at Los Angeles Chargers O/U 52
Patrick Mahomes’ Chiefs are listed as a four point favorite over the Chargers even though these teams appear headed in opposite directions. The Chiefs have the potential to go to the Super Bowl while the Chargers just might end up with a top ten draft pick. Look for Mahomes and Mecole Hardman, Sammy Watkins and Tyreke Hill to connect on a few deep balls that break this game open.
Pick: Chiefs moneyline -205
