Day 3 at the Traveler’s saw Chez Reavie take a commanding six shot lead over the rest of the field. Unfortunately, Reavie is not one of the golfers featured in our coverage this week. In fact, only one out of our four golfers even has odds to win the tournament tomorrow. At least all of our guys made the cut. To learn which of our golfers still has an outside shot to find himself in the winner’s circle tomorrow, read on.
Travelers Championship 2019 Favorites
Koepka stumbled to a two over par 72 on Saturday, leaving him well out of contention. He’s sitting at only one under for the tournament, 15 shots back of leader Chez Reavie at 16 under par. As you might expect, SugarHouse is not laying odds on Koepka to win the tournament tomorrow.
Cantlay is the only golfer out of our four featured guys to still have a chance, and it’s a slim one. Cantlay fired a fine five under par 65 on Saturday, leaving him seven under for the tournament. He’s still nine shots back of Reavie. Cantlay will need to go very low and to get a lot of help from the guys in front of him (especially Reavie) to have any kind of a chance. SugarHouse puts his odds of finding the winner’s circle at +4500.
Travelers Championship 2019 Underdogs
Snedker struggled a little on Saturday, ending up with a one over par 71. This leaves him at two under for tournament, a massive 14 shots back of Reavie. It pretty much goes without saying that Snedeker has no chance of winning the tournament. Unsurprisingly, SugarHouse is not offering odds on Snedeker’s non-existent chances of winning the tournament.
Hovland continued his solid start to life as a professional golfer with a two under par 68 on Saturday. This leaves him at four under, well out of sight of the lead and with no available odds on winning the tournament. He does have a good chance of securing a top 25 finish in his first professional event if he can come up with a good round on Sunday.
