Round 2 is over, and the bottom half of the field has been cut. None of the golfers featured in this space missed the cut, which is an improvement over recent weeks. However, all four of our golfers face an uphill battle to catch the leaders by the end of the day on Sunday. The current leader is the little-known Zack Sucher, who sits at eleven under par after two fine rounds. Tomorrow is moving day, as Saturday is known on the PGA Tour, and all of our golfers will have to make a run. To find out what their odds of doing so have been calculated at, read on.
Travelers Championship 2019 Favorites
Koepka struggled to a one over par 71 yesterday, but he rebounded significantly on Friday. He fired a four under par 66 to leave himself at three under for tournament. He’s still eight shots back going into the weekend, and he realistically needs another 66 at worst on Saturday to give himself a chance. SugarHouse puts his odds to win the tournament at +3300.
Cantlay got off to a good start on Thursday with a four under par 66. However, he stumbled to a two over par 72 on Friday, leaving him at two under par for the tournament. He barely made the cut, which fell at two under par exactly. He still has an outside shot if he plays well on both Saturday and Sunday. SugarHouse puts his odds at +6600.
Travelers Championship 2019 Underdogs
Snedeker continued his solid play with a one under par 69 on Friday, getting him to three under par for the tournament. If he continues playing this way, he’ll probably find himself in the top 25 on Sunday. He’d have to get red hot to win, however. SugarHouse lists him at +10000.
Hovland got off to an excellent start with a three under par 68 on Thursday. However, he barely made the cut after a one over par 71 on Friday left him at two under for the tournament. HIs odds are a dismal +20000, according to SugarHouse.
